So, as I entered the Season Finale of the OB Cues Ladies Tour stop, I wanted so badly to do well enough to stay in the top ten of the rankings.
As I mentioned in a previous blog, everyone thinks I want to remain in the top ten so that I can be invited to the Regional Tour Championships that the WPBA holds for the regional tours. However, I do not really care about that. I want to stay in the top ten for pride. In the last 8 years, I have been in the top ten of the rankings of the OB Cues Ladies Tour 7 out of those 8 years. I think that's impressive! Last year I placed 5th in the rankings AND was awarded Most Improved Player - therefore, I didn't want to fall out the top ten the very next year! That'd be crazy, huh?

Sure enough, I placed only 33rd (read the pathetic recap here, lol) - worse standing all year on this the tour for me... and after I lost my third match on Saturday, I was sick. S I C K. I blew it. I knew I blew it. :( I immediately ordered a pizza. Ate that. Went to my room. Dropped off the cue. Walked back to the pool room. Ordered a Smirnoff Ice. I was done. I blew it.
I kept watch (of course) of Michelle and Julie and knew they were still in the tournament most of Saturday. Then I saw Michelle get 9th place on Saturday night and Julie won her match so she was in until Sunday. Ugh. So, I am walking around, kind of numb. Nothing I could do about it, but still, I was disappointed. They both had a great tournament, I did not, and I was knocked out of the top ten.

I couldn't wait to check the charts at the pool room to see if I had the right points for the right place and sure enough, my fuzzy math was fuzzy and then I figured out all on my own that I would be #10 Baby!
Wait, it gets better.
So the week after the tournament, the rankings are posted and I go check them out and my math is stupid fuzzy evidently! I am officially ranked 9th for the year! Somehow I completely miscalculated the points and math and the rankings and how Michelle and Julie did and now I am officially, officially in the top ten again! :) OMG!

how many people read ur blog? probably a lot.
glad u could play in the tournament. did ur injury affect ur play at all? hope ur not hurting too badly. i guess there's a reason why pet grooming can succeed as a business. hope that dog is more cooperative next time!
I am behind in writing up my tourneys, so this tourney was before the injury. My arm still hurts pretty bad - I will test it out at league tonight. :(
Yea, the dog is on my "watch it" list. lol!
i would say don't push it. u don't want to risk aggravating the injury; it may be a better idea to take the night off & mend at home.
also, try to get an x-ray for ur arm and hip & make sure nothing is broken. if u can't get a regular doctor appointment soon use urgent care. (i'm assuming u got insurance.) this way u can make sure everything heals properly. and don't lift anything!! get help from ur friends!!
hope ur better...did u see a doctor?
